This page is short because we collect almost nothing.
No accounts, no forms, no tracking pixels
You can't create an account here and we don't ask for your email, name, or address anywhere on this site. We use our hosting provider's aggregate analytics (page counts, country-level traffic) to see what's useful; we don't run advertising trackers or sell data to anyone.
The tools run in your browser or stateless
The quote checker and the storm-chaser test run entirely in your browser — what you type never leaves your device. The license checker sends the number you enter to the state registry to get an answer, and we don't log or store what you search.
If you email corrections@hunterdonscoop.com, we keep the email so we can answer it and document corrections. That's it.
The newsletter is separate
If you subscribe to The Hunterdon Scoop, that signup happens on the newsletter's own site under its own privacy terms (it's an email list: it stores your email address so it can send you the email you asked for).
